An athlete drowned during a CrossFit competition in the United States – and when his death appeared to be broadcast in front of many spectators, staff and swimmers, no one thinks about this in the beginning.
It took several hours to find the man’s body. It was reported that Lazar Đukić, 28, disappeared near the end of the 800-meter swim live at the CrossFit Games at Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, near Dallas, around 8 a.m. Thursday time.
Emergency responders pulled the body from the lake about two hours later, the New York Post reported.
Mr. Đukić lost during the swimming portion of the individual swimming competition, which began with a 3.5-mile run followed by an 800-meter swim.
The CrossFit Games are presented as intended for “the best on the planet” and bring together competitors from 33 countries.
