A trial begins this week for a neighbor accused of killing an ID corrections officer in a blood feud Zachary T.
Latham, 20, is charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault and a weapons offense in the May 4, 2020, shooting death of William T.Durham Sr. in the Vineland area where they both live.
Durham, 51, a corrections officer at South Woods State Prison in Cumberland County, died after a dispute.
Latham and Durham’s family escalated into a bloody fight that was captured on video recorded by Latham’s wife according to court documents.
Video recorded by Latham’s wife shows the two Durham boys and their father arriving at Latham’s home.
Latham, who entered her home, emerged with a stun gun and a knife, while the Durhams were unarmed, according to court records.
An argument was exchanged with one of Durham’s children who was about to throw a punch, according to the video, when Latham stabbed him.
Durham pulled out the blade, Latham’s wife can be heard screaming in the video and stun guns are fired repeatedly as Durham and his sons fight Latham and his two friends.
