Michigan – A fight broke out in the stadium tunnel leading to the locker room and exit.
After the first video showed Michigan State players kicking and shoving a Michigan player, another video surfaced on Sunday.
SB Nation’s Trevor Woods posted on Twitter and said the footage was from “Rookie Grandma”, a 2:13 clip of what appear to be Michigan State players – including one who appears to be wearing a helmet – with calling from Michigan.
Spartans head coach Mel Tucker appeared to be knocking on the door after a Michigan State video showed an attack by a Michigan sophomore player and what followed.
Very angry. The rookie’s mother captured the video: “As Spartans, our program has a responsibility to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship,” Tucker wrote on Twitter Sunday.
“While emotions are running high at the end of our championship game at Michigan Stadium, there is no excuse for behavior that puts our teammates or our opponents at risk.
With full support “Together with law enforcement, the Big Ten and the leadership of MSU and UM, we will investigate the incident in Ann Arbor and act quickly and appropriately.”
Michigan campus police released a statement on the investigation Saturday.
