The famous groundhog rose from his burrow on Groundhog Day and saw his shadow and predicted that we would have another six weeks of winter here in the United States.
Unfortunately for Phil, he’s not the most accurate when it comes to the weather.

In 2022, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and predicted a long winter. It is 106 times in the 126 years he has seen his vision, he prophesied.
Punxsutawney Phil still good?
Unfortunately no.Since his first forecast in 1887, Punxsutawney Phil has been accurate only 39% of the time, according to the Stormfax Weather Almanac.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Center for Environmental Information 2012-21, Phil was right only 40% of the time.
