Jayson Tatum suffered a serious lower leg injury during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the New York Knicks.
He appeared to have a non-contact injury, collapsing in pain and unable to put weight on his right foot after a false step.

The injury looked like a possible Achilles tendon tear or a severe ankle injury. Tatum was visibly distraught and had to be helped off the court, eventually being wheelchaired to the locker room.

This occurred late in the 4th quarter while he was having an outstanding game, scoring 42 points.
The injury has cast a dark cloud over the Celtics’ playoff run, with uncertainty about Tatum’s availability for the remainder of the series and beyond.
