Canadian midfielder Ismaël Koné suffered a severe, apparent broken left leg during Canada’s 6-0 World Cup group-stage victory over Qatar.

The injury occurred in the 51st minute following a dangerous tackle from behind by Qatar’s Assim Madibo, who was subsequently given a straight red card.
