Nicaragua’s isolated and oppositional government felt it had scored a rare PR victory last week when Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios won the Miss Universe pageant .
But the “righteous joy and pride” of the government of President Daniel Ortega expressed in a statement on Sunday after the victory quickly turned into slander, after it appeared that Palacios graduated from the university in the middle of 2018 protest against the government – and that it was clear looks like he has been on the trip.
