Watch Princess Kate’s video statement revealing her cancer Catherine, Princess of Wales, revealed in a video statement on Friday that she had been diagnosed with cancer, calling the news “a huge shock.”
In the post, which you can watch above, Kate said she was diagnosed with an unspecified type of cancer after undergoing gastric bypass surgery in January and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Kate said that after the operation in London, the doctors thought that her condition was not cancer and the operation was successful, but later tests showed that cancer was present.

In a video message recorded on Wednesday and released Friday, Kate asked for “time, space and privacy” as she recovers.
This is a terrible thing, and William and I have done everything we can to plan and manage this privately for our young family,” Kate said in the video message.
“As you can imagine, it took time. It took me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.
But, more importantly, it took us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that worked for them, and to reassure them that everything would be fine.
“Kate’s video message comes as public rumors swirl about her health, fueled by at least two images released by doctors in recent days.
Kate, 42, has not been seen in public since Christmas until A short video emerged this week of her walking with William past the farm shop.
